There are generally two different screw applications

1. The Soft Screw Application - Blue Curve
For use in wood and soft materials. The torque increases continuously over duration of the screw activity.

2. The Hard Screw Application - Red Curve
For use in metal with a thread or with self drilling screws. The torque increases dramatically at the end of the screw activity.
