Wiha slim family – maximum accessibility due to narrow blades
Last year, Wiha already surprised the sector with an innovation: slimtechnology. This completely VDE and GS tested solution for fastening tools is ingeniously simple: insulation that often poses a hindrance has been integrated into the through-hardened slimFix blades and 90 mm slimBits, thus creating maximum access to the fastening elements. In this way, the slimFix blades and slimBits achieve a reduction of the total diameter of up to 33% in the critical working area, depending on the output size.
The slotted versions of the slimFix screwdriver family have been equipped with a wedge-profiled output geometry in addition to slimtechnology; it is an ideal actuating tool for spring clips. Wiha has also set new standards in terms of VDE expertise and innovation with the uniform 90mm premium VDE and GS-certified slimBit system. The hit: The fully-insulated VDE slimBits can be used for the slimTorque VDE torque product line as well as for the slimVario standard VDE exchange bit system. With the slim family concept, Wiha offers electricians a compact, fully GS & VDE certified set of two handles and a set of VDE bits, with which all attachments can be carried out according to manufacturer specifications.
The Wiha slim family cannot be beaten in terms of safety, either. The range features one-off testing in a water bath at 10,000 V, complete VDE certification and is designated with the GS mark. The complete slim line fulfils all stipulations of the international IEC 60900:2004 standard and is approved for work in the area of live parts up to 1,000 V AC.
Wiha ErgoStar: One turn and it's done
Only at first glance does the Wiha ErgoStar appear to be a conventional L-key holder. But when used for the first time, it quickly becomes clear why it is different: with the innovative rotary movement of all L-keys, the Wiha ErgoStar has solved the problem of complicated key extraction in an ingenious way. Rotating any L-key in the holder activates a patented opening mechanism: all keys then simultaneously rotate to the side as if by magic. In this way, a flowing rotational movement makes all L-keys available for convenient removal, 'with a single turn' as it were.
