"Eight screwdrivers in one" is how the Wiha magazine bit holder might best be described. The bit magazine accommodated by the handle is swung open with a light press of the thumb. The bits can then be quickly and simply changed. Thanks to this new solution for storing and extracting bits, the user always has a clear idea of where things are. "With the development of the magazine bit holder we have succeeded in supplementing existing bit holder systems with a further user-friendly and innovative product," explained Barbara Cyffka, the product manager at Wiha Werkzeuge GmbH with headquarters in Schonach/Schwarzwald, Germany.
As well as four differing initial assembly variations as an electrician’s version, the magazine can also be individually equipped according to the requirements of the user. As such the Wiha magazine bit holder is suitable for users that need several screw or screwdriver types for their work within a short space of time. With its compact size of approximately 40 x 170 mm, the Wiha magazine bit holder also easily fits into every toolbox. The ergonomically designed handle of soft, skin-friendly material guarantees comfortable handling as well.
The red dot design award jury of experts tests and inspects products every year according to specific criteria such as level of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, service life, environmental aspects and quality of self-declaration. The Wiha magazine bit holder convinced in all of these categories and was awarded to coveted "red dot design award: best of the best". Already last year the innovative Inomic pliers were distinguished with the "red dot award: product design". The design competition that was founded in 1955 counts as one of the largest and most renowned worldwide, and since 2005 is also held in Singapore.
