Wiha Tools: LiftUp Electric magazine bit holder receives award
Wiha Tools in Schonach has received the "Best of 2015" award in the category of industrial production technology and mechanical engineering for its LiftUp electric magazine bit holder. Thus the Black Forest company receives a further prestigious award this year, in addition to the iF and Red Dot design awards for its innovative hand tools.
The 30-member jury of the Industry Award, consisting of professors, scientists and journalists, evaluate all applications in 14 categories according to economic, social, technological and environmental benefits, and annually award especially innovative companies with the Industry prize initiated by the Huber publishing company for new media. This makes it a unique prize in industry.
"We are delighted to receive this award and thank the jury for the associated recognition. This confirms the user-oriented approach that Wiha has always focussed on in the manufacture of its tools." said Ronny Lindskog, European Sales and Marketing Director.
The LiftUp electric from Wiha is a compact and user-friendly magazine screwdriver for electrical applications. The screwdriver, which is VDE-tested and compliant with the IEC 60900:2012 standard, has a protective insulated blade of chrome vanadium steel and is suitable for work with voltages up to 1,000 volts. Together with the slimBits, which also comply with this standard, the hand tool provides maximum security. The internal magazine accommodates six slimBits, which can be easily selected using the "lift function". This is achieved with a new type of opening mechanism at the end of the handle, which "rises out" of the magazine at the touch of a button. Efficient and safe operation is thus guaranteed. The ergonomically designed Wiha SoftFinish electric multi-component handle with roll-off protection enables slip-free and comfortable efficient working.
