Wiha presents a new crimp tool for photovoltaic professionals

With the photovoltaic crimp tool for MC4 solar connectors from Wiha, solar cables with a diameter of 2.5/4/6 mm² (14 |12 | 10 AWG) can be easily crimped

New challenges require new tools – when it comes to growth sectors then this statement is particularly true of the dynamically evolving photovoltaic systems market. To facilitate the work of professionals, manual tool manufacturer Wiha introduced a new tool that makes the mounting, installation and repair and maintenance of photovoltaic systems and their infrastructure safe, time saving and ergonomically beneficial – the crimp tool for MC4 connectors.

The smooth operation of photovoltaic systems is primarily dependent on the quality of electrical connections among the solar modules and the inverter. A precise and reliable crimp connection plays a key role in this.

With the photovoltaic crimp tool for MC4 solar connectors from Wiha, solar cables with a diameter of 2.5/4/6 mm² (14 |12 | 10 AWG) can be easily crimped. During crimping the pressure force automatically adjusts to the different cross sections. This ensures that the crimping process is fully and correctly implemented. With the emergency release function, the crimping process can be manually interrupted at all times.

Screwed-fastened crimp inserts provide an optimal view for left-handed and right-handed applications. Ergonomic anti-slip soft handles with slip guard allow convenient working, similar to the tool's toggle joint technology that results in high power transmission.
